| Ritek triplicará su producción de discos Blu-ray |
  Ritek tiene actualmente una línea de producción de discos Blu-ray capaz de fabricar 250.000 unidades al mes. Según DigiTimes, la compañía taiwanesa está adaptando una de sus líneas de producción de DVDs para la fabricación de Blu-rays, con lo que duplicaría la producción llegando a las 500.000 unidades mensuales.
Según Ritek, adaptar la línea de producción de DVDs a Blu-ray es mucho más barato que instalar una nueva línea, aún así planea poner en marcha una tercera línea nueva para llegar hasta las 750.000 unidades al mes para finales del presente año.
Actualmente Ritek es el cuarto mayor fabricante de discos Blu-ray, por detrás de TDK, Panasonic y Sony.
